The award has a five-year base value of $676.7 million to cover logistics support for the CH-53E Super Stallion and the MH-53E Sea Dragon, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.
Under the terms of the contract, Sikorsky will provide 196 weapon- or shop-replaceable assemblies for the helicopters by December 2027, with an option to extend work until 2029.
The service branch will also concurrently award a $150 million delivery order as an undefinitized contract action and expects the contractor to complete the work between January 2023 and September 2023.
Super Stallion and Sea Dragon helicopters are used to transport heavy equipment, supplies and military troops in amphibious missions.
