Alaska Aerospace Receives $111M Follow-On Award for MDA Test Support

Alaska Aerospace Corp. will continue to support the Missile Defense Agency’s flight test requirements under a potential $110.9 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.

Under the follow-on award, AAC will help manage launch facility and range operations at the Pacific Spaceport Complex Alaska located on Kodiak Island, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.

The agency solicited one offer for the procurement effort and will obligate $369,784 at the time of award.

DOD said the ordering period, which includes contract options, will begin Friday and continue through Jan. 11, 2029.

The company initially won a sole-source, $80.4 million contract in 2016 to help MDA test the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense System at the spaceport.
