Portia Crowe Appointed to Oversee Data Strategy for Accenture Federal Subsidiary’s Defense Portfolio

Portia Crowe, former chief data officer of the U.S. Army Futures Command’s Network Cross Functional Team, has been named chief data strategy director for defense at Accenture‘s (NYSE: ACN) federal arm.

She will be responsible for helping customers of Accenture Federal Services use data in insight generation and decision-making processes with modern technology such as artificial intelligence, analytics and cloud, Accenture said Thursday.

Her two-decade career also includes work at the Army’s Program Executive Office Communications, Command and Control Tactical Headquarters as chief of cyber engineering and operations and as chief information officer.

“Federal leaders rely on accurate and timely data more than ever to optimize business performance,” Crowe said.

“I look forward to helping Accenture Federal Services’ clients keep pace with today’s digital world, solve vexing digital transformation challenges, and achieve operational efficiencies.”
