Banyan Software has acquired HealthRx, which sells technology designed to help government customers manage research portfolios, laboratory safety and occupational health programs.
HealthRx’s Nexus platform consists of modules that support applications such as medical surveillance and workflows at federal and university research organizations, Banyan said Tuesday.
According to HealthRx, it also provides support to clients who develop guidelines for large organizations such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, National Institutes of Health, Department of Agriculture and the Food and Drug Administration.
Banyan focuses on pursuing deals to acquire software providers that generate annual revenues in the $2 million-$30 million range. The Atlanta-based company has a presence in the health care, education, transportation, media and financial services markets.
