Michael Hartenstein, a 22-year veteran of the U.S. Secret Service, has joined LexisNexis Risk Solutions as director of federal public safety business development.
Hartenstein will lead the development of strategic customer plans and support the creation of service offerings for public safety and law enforcement agencies, LexisNexis Risk Solutions said Thursday.
He most recently served as deputy special agent in charge of USSC's vice presidential protective division and handled matters related to division strategy, law enforcement and military liaison, training, emergency operations, human capital, administration and budget.
His career at the agency has also included special agent work in the criminal investigative division, an assignment with the Joint Terrorism Task Force and a supervisory instructor position at the James J. Rowley Training Center. where
He received Key Executive Leadership Certification from the American University School of Public Affairs as part of the USSC Senior Executive Service development program.
