$105M DOE R&D Funding Opportunity Opens for Small Businesses

The Department of Energy plans to award $105M in total research and development grants for the second phase of its fiscal 2021 Small Business Innovation Research and Small Business Technology Transfer initiatives.

Four suboffices within the DOE Office of Science support the funding opportunity announcement – which covers topics such as nuclear physics, biological and environmental research, advanced scientific computing and basic energy sciences — the department said Monday.

Specific areas of interest include high-performance computing, cybersecurity, emerging networks, detection technologies, subsurface energy capabilities, bioimaging and nuclear energy, according to the release document.
 
DOE is scheduled to issue the FOA release 2 on Nov. 9.
