L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX) has won a potential five-year, $249M contract to produce Squad Binocular Night Vision Goggles for the U.S. Marine Corps.

The firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract also covers spare and repair components, refurbishment of test article and logistics support, the Department of Defense said Friday.

Marine Corps Systems Command received six offers for the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract and will initially obligate $328,203 from USMC's fiscal 2019 procurement funds.

Contract work will take place in Roanoke, Va., through September 2024.

The service branch intends for SBNVG to help increase the lethality and situational awareness among infantry units when they perform missions with low visibility.
