Point Blank Enterprises Wins $216M IDIQ to Supply Marine Corps Body Armor Plates

Point Blank Enterprises has won a potential five-year, $215.9M  contract to supply the U.S. Marine Corps with 680,706 lightweight body armor plates. The Marine Corps Systems Command received six offers for the firm-fixed-price, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract via a competitive procurement on the FedBizOpps website and will obligate $357K in fiscal 2019 research and development funds for the initial delivery order, the Department of Defense said Friday.

Pratt & Whitney Receives $3.2B Modification on F-35 Propulsion System Production, Delivery Contract

United Technologies Corp.'s Pratt and Whitney has secured a $3.24B contract modification to produce 233 propulsion systems for the F-35 program. Pratt and Whitney will provide 56 F135 propulsion systems to the U.S. Air Force, 10 to the Navy, 24 to the U.S. Marine Corps and 143 to non-defense and foreign military sales customers, the Department of Defense said Friday.
