Boeing Secures FAA Registration for MQ-25 Tanker Drone Prototype


TYSONS CORNER, VA, Jan. 8, 2018 — The Federal Aviation Administration has assigned a registration number to Boeing (NYSE: BA) for the company’s proposed unmanned aircraft system to the U.S. Navy as the future MQ-25 Stingray carrier-based autonomous tanker, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

Boeing secured the FAA registration number N234MQ for its T1 drone prototype, which it unveiled two months after the Navy issued the final request for proposals on the Stingray carrier-based tanker drone program, Flight Global reported Thursday.
