Venturi to Provide Advisory, Assistance Services For BMDS Logistics Under $51M MDA Contract


MissileDefenseThe Missile Defense Agency has awarded a $51.5 million contract to Venturi for advisory and assistance services in support of logistics work for the Ballistic Missile Defense System.

The Huntsville, Alabama-based company will develop, implement, sustain and assess logistics processes, plans and policies for BMDS under the terms of the contract, the Defense Department said Monday.

The contract also covers support for logistics management, performance-based logistics and integrated product support to comply with related MDA and DoD guidelines, DoD added.

Work will occur in Alabama, Colorado, Virginia, Hanscom Air Force Base, Vandenberg Air Force Base and Fort Bliss through July 2021.

MDA obligated $2.9 million at the time of the award from fiscal 2016 research, development, testing and evaluation funds.

The award is the result of a competitive procurement process with five offers received, DoD noted.
