SAIC to Help University Establish Defense Tech Incubator; Michael LaRouche, Josh Jackson Quoted

TYSONS CORNER, VA, March 11, 2020 — Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) and the University of Massachusetts Lowell Research Institute partnered to establish an innovation campus close to Hanscom Air Force Base in an effort to drive defense technology projects, ExecutiveBiz reported Friday.

SAIC said Thursday it will be the founding member and lead partner of the Northstar Campus incubator, which seeks to help military services address key challenges with technology.

“Partnering with UMass Lowell opens doors for our professionals to seamlessly work beside the leading minds in academia and government to address emerging challenges in national defense,” said Michael LaRouche, executive vice president and general manager of SAIC’s national security group.

Josh Jackson, EVP and GM of SAIC's solutions and technology group, said the campus would extend the geographic presence of the the company's Innovation Factory.
