Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) has secured a prime position on a potential five-year, $750 million contract to provide intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance support to the U.S. Special Operations Command.

Leidos said Thursday it is one of the four companies that will compete for task orders under the firm-fixed-price, cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.

Sam Gordy, Leidos group president, said the company will work to help USSOCOM’s special operations units perform technology, acquisition and logistics functions through the delivery of ISR platforms and related services.

Work will occur in Charleston, South Carolina, and covers hardware and modification support, systems integration, signals processing and communication network-related services.
