State Dept Approves $188M F-16 Sustainment Services Sale to Greece


F16FleetGreece has placed an order for F-16 aircraft sustainment and related services by Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) and Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) through a $188 million foreign military sale agreement with the State Department.

The NATO ally requested for electronic combat security assistance, engine management,  technical coordination,  structural integrity,  hardware and software support, repair, logistics and engineering support services, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said Tuesday.

The Greek government intends to maintain and modernize its F-16 fleet in order to keep pace with the U.S. and other NATO members.
