The Department of State announced that it will work to align its IT governance with bureau missions via the IT Executive Council (ITEC), FedScoop reported Friday. The ITEC was created in April 2019. “The goal of that is to bring together all of the collective requirements of the department, so we understand what needs to be done out there,” said the State Department CIO, Stuart McGuigan.

State Dept OKs Potential $10B Sale of Lockheed-Made F-35s to UAE

The State Department informed Congress it approved the United Arab Emirates’ request to buy 50 Lockheed Martin-built (NYSE: LMT) F-35 fighter jets under a potential $10B deal, Reuters reported Friday. The potential foreign military sales deal will move to an informal review by the House Foreign Affairs and Senate Foreign Relations committees.

The task order awarded under the General Services Administration’s Enterprise Infrastructure Services contract for telecommunications support includes the delivery of a fully managed layer 3 Multiprotocol Label Switching network, Internet Protocol Service and Ethernet Transport Service.
