L-3 Communications’ (NYSE: LLL) warrior systems, insight technology unit has won a $50 million contract to provided night vision binoculars to the U.S. Special Operations Command.
The New York-based government contracting firm announced Tuesday it would provide the binoculars under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity, firm-fixed price contract.
Ken Solinsky, president of L-3’s warrior systems unit, said the devices advanced optics and image intensifier tubes.
Solinsky said the company has integrated its businesses within warrior systems, resulting in contract wins that have expanded L-3’s business base.
The Naval Surface Warfare Center awarded the contract.
L-3 also recently won a $50 million contract modification to provide the Special Operations Command with satellite antennas, pushing the contract’s ceiling value to $207 million.
