Boeing Books Four Defense Deals Heading into Holidays

According to the Department of Defense, “Boeing (NYSE: BA) is being awarded a $13, 359, 590 firm-fixed-price delivery order #0012 under previously awarded contract (N00383-07-G-005H) for Avionics Repair Facility support for repairs of various components of the F/A-18 aircraft.  Work will be performed in Lemoore, Calif. (49 percent); Cecil Field, Fla. (49 percent); and Philadelphia, Pa. (3 percent), and is to be completed by December 2011.  Contract funds will not expire before the end of the current fiscal year.  This effort included the governments of Spain, Malaysia, and Kuwait (all less than one percent) under the Foreign Military Sales program.  This contract was not competitively awarded.  The Naval Inventory Control Point, Philadelphia, Pa., is the contracting activity.

“Boeing is being awarded a $24, 535, 237 modification to a previously awarded firm-fixed-fee contract (N68335-10-C-0491) to exercise an option for the manufacture, test and delivery of 12 AN/USM-702 Reconfigurable Transportable Consolidated Automated Support Systems (RTCASS).  In addition, this option provides for 10 self maintenance and test calibration interface devices.  RTCASS is a standardized automatic test equipment system with computer-assisted multi-functional capabilities designed to test, diagnose, troubleshoot and repair existing and emerging weapon replaceable assembly and shop replaceable assembly aircraft electronic components.  Work will be performed in St. Louis, Mo. (58 percent); North Reading, Mass. (40 percent); and Stillwater, Okla. (2 percent), and is expected to be completed in December 2012.  Contract funds in the amount of $20, 646, 521 will expire at the end of the current fiscal year.  The Naval Air Systems Command, Patuxent River, Md., is the contracting activity.

“Boeing was awarded a $44, 650, 914 contract which will provide the production, delivery, installation and testing of three C-17 weapon system trainers with loadmaster stations, including all hardware, software and support equipment.  At this time, the entire amount has been obligated.  ASC/WNSK, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio, is the contracting activity (FA8621-11-C-6290).

“Boeing was awarded a $25, 779, 858 contract modification which will exercise the option for calendar year 2011 maintenance and operations services to provide the requirements for the development and delivery of the logistics infrastructure for the space based space surveillance Block 10 system.  At this time, $3, 101, 402 has been obligated.  SMC/PKS, Los Angeles Air Force Base, Calif., is the contracting activity.
