ASRC Federal Names Northrop Vet Leif Henecke CIO

ASRC Federal Holding Co. has appointed Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) veteran Leif Henecke chief information officer, the company announced Thursday.

The Greenbelt, Md.-based company said he will manage federal information technology solutions and business strategy.

He brings executive experience in IT strategy, operations and optimization, according to President Ken Asbury.

Henecke previously served as deputy CIO at the American Association of Motor Vehicle Administrators as deputy CIO, where he was responsible for IT services.

Prior to that, he served as director of business systems at Northrop’s IT sector, where he operated and maintained sector business systems and supported a technology consulting and services business unit.

More than 22, 000 employees worked at that unit, the company said.

Before entering the private sector, he served in the U.S. Army and Army National Guard for more than 24 years and retired as a lieutenant colonel.

In February, the company announced it merged its World Technical Services Inc. subsidiary into Primus Solutions Inc., also a subsidiary of ASRC.
