The Space Development Agency has released a solicitation for a program to design, develop, test and launch the initial batch of satellites that will comprise the Transport Layer Tranche 0 as part of the proliferated  National Defense Space Architecture in low-Earth orbit. A solicitation notice posted Friday says the transport layer will serve as the architecture’s backbone by delivering low-latency and resilient military connectivity and data to a range of warfighter applications.

The Library of Congress has issued a solicitation for a potential five-year, $150M contract to provide cloud computing, professional services, training and related services in support of the information technology needs of LOC’s service units and legislative agencies. A notice posted Friday says the single-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract should include the delivery of Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services cloud services.

MDA Seeks Proposals for Next-Generation Interceptor Program

The Missile Defense Agency has released a solicitation for the Next-Generation Interceptor program, Defense News reported Friday. MDA requested $664.1M in fiscal 2021 funds for NGI, which replaces the Redesigned Kill Vehicle program as part of the Ground-based Midcourse Defense System designed to defend the U.S. against ballistic missile defense threats.

The accreditation body for the Department of Defense’s Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification program has issued a request for proposals for a continuous monitoring platform. The RFP posted Wednesday on LinkedIn says that certified third-party assessment organizations, assessors and companies seeking certification will use the continuous monitoring tool to carry out pre-evaluation background research and monitor firms between formal assessments.
