The Naval Research Laboratory has begun seeking proposals for a small business set aside indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to provide research and development services for directed energy and electronic countermeasures systems of the U.S. Navy.

A notice posted Tuesday on SAM.gov states that NRL requires technical support for the testing, evaluation, prototype development and integration of high-power electromagnetic systems into the naval fleet.

Work will support comprehensive directed energy research, development, test and evaluation; comprehensive electronic attack RDT&E; high power microwave system development; DE source development; ultra-short pulse laser system and component development; USPL effects research and development; and DE analysis and documentation.

The selected contractor will perform design and development, R&D, systems engineering, test and evaluation and contractor management of assigned tasks.

Responses are due March 17.
