NASA has begun seeking proposals for a potential $75 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract covering aerospace research, technology and simulation support services.

The ARTS contract has an ordering period of five years and provides technical services to operate, maintain and upgrade the simulation and persistent software facilities at the Ames Research Center and the flight simulation facilities at the Langley Research Center, according to a notice posted Friday on SAM.gov.

The selected contractor will help prepare, operate and maintain existing simulators, integration laboratories, and aircraft research systems in the ARTS facilities at Ames and support the development, test, and validation of advanced air traffic management automation tools.

Simulators and facilities covered in the contract include the Crew-Vehicle Systems Research Facility, Vertical Motion Simulation Complex, FutureFlight Central, Air Traffic Management TestBed, WorldWind and Sherlock Data Warehouse.

Responses are due April 15.
