Jacklyn Wynn, formerly a vice president at Mitre, has joined General Dynamics' (NYSE: GD) information technology unit as VP of strategic programs, Women of Color Magazine reported Thursday. She will oversee programs within the federal health sector, military health and veterans affairs areas of the GDIT business.

NSF, UT Austin, Tech Firms Debut Supercomputer at Texas Advanced Computing Center

Representatives from the National Science Foundation, University of Texas at Austin and several technology vendors celebrated on Tuesday the inauguration of an NSF-funded supercomputer at the Texas Advanced Computing Center. TACC's Frontera system is built through a $60M investment from NSF and designed to support discovery efforts by U.S. scientific teams, NSF said Tuesday.

VMware Aims to Buy Pivotal, Negotiates Share Exchange Ratio With Dell

VMware (NYSE: VMW) is in talks to acquire all of Pivotal Software's (NYSE: PVTL) outstanding Class A common shares for $15 per share in cash. San Francisco-based Pivotal said Wednesday its and VMware's controlling stockholder, Dell Technologies, filed a "Schedule 13D/A" with the Securities and Exchange Commission.
