The Space Development Agency has released a draft request for proposals for a program to design, develop and test up to eight satellites that will comprise the Tracking Layer Tranche 0 of the proliferated National Defense Space Architecture in low-Earth orbit. The tracking layer seeks to detect, track and target hypersonic weapons and other advanced missile threats and the draft RFP posted May 11 is for the Tranche 0 Wide Field of View program, which focuses on technology platforms needed to populate a proliferated LEO constellation.

Space Development Agency Seeks Proposals for Transport Layer Tranche 0 Satellites

The Space Development Agency has released a solicitation for a program to design, develop, test and launch the initial batch of satellites that will comprise the Transport Layer Tranche 0 as part of the proliferated  National Defense Space Architecture in low-Earth orbit. A solicitation notice posted Friday says the transport layer will serve as the architecture’s backbone by delivering low-latency and resilient military connectivity and data to a range of warfighter applications.

Library of Congress Seeks Proposals for $150M Cloud Services IDIQ

The Library of Congress has issued a solicitation for a potential five-year, $150M contract to provide cloud computing, professional services, training and related services in support of the information technology needs of LOC’s service units and legislative agencies. A notice posted Friday says the single-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract should include the delivery of Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform and Amazon Web Services cloud services.

Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC) and a Raytheon Technologies (NYSE: RTX) business have teamed up to compete for the Missile Defense Agency’s Next-Generation Interceptor program. “We have the right team, technology and expertise in place to meet our customer’s needs for enhanced capabilities, from the identification of a ballistic missile launched by an adversary, all the way to its elimination,” Blake Larson, corporate vice president and president of Northrop’s space systems business, said in a statement published Monday.
