BAE, Serco, SRC Awarded $1.8B in IDIQ Contracts to Support Navy Ship C4I Systems

BAE SystemsSerco Inc. and Scientific Research Corp. have won 10-year contracts worth up to $1.81B combined to provide integrated command, control, communications, computers and intelligence systems for the U.S. Navy's shipbuilding programs. Contractors will help the service branch engineer, fabricate, assemble, test, install and perform logistics work on C4I system of systems aboard large deck amphibious ships and new construction aircraft carriers, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

Leidos Wins Navy Synthetic Signature Generation Trainer Contract

Leidos (NYSE: LDOS) has won a potential three-year, $63M contract to develop, engineer and integrate a training system based on synthetic signature generation technology for the U.S. Navy. The company will also help the service brancg test, implement and maintain the SSG trainer as part of the cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Department of Defense said Tuesday.

Bechtel Wins $383M Contract to Design, Build NASA’s Second Mobile Launcher

Bechtel has been awarded a 44-month, $383M contract to design, construct, test and commission a second mobile launcher at NASA's Kennedy Space Center. NASA said Wednesday it will use the ML2 to assemble, process and launch the Space Launch System rocket with the Orion spacecraft on missions moon and Mars. The platform will be built to support KSC's exploration ground systems.

Welch Allyn Gets Potential $100M DLA Contract for Patient Monitoring Systems

Welch Allyn, a subsidiary of Hill-Rom, has won a five-year, $100M contract from the Defense Logistics Agency to supply U.S. service branches with patient monitoring systems and accessories. The Army, Navy, Marine Corps, Air Force and federal civilian agencies are the using customers under the indefinite‐delivery/indefinite‐quantity contract, the Department of Defense said Monday.

L3 to Update Navy Submarine Sensor Under Potential $74M Contract

L3 Technologies (NYSE: LLL) has secured a potential six-year, $73.7M contract to update, repair and overhaul submarine photonics masts used on U.S. Navy submarines. The service branch will obligate $2.1M in fiscal 2019 other procurement funds at the time of award, the Department of Defense said Monday.
