Parsons Secures $53M DTRA Task Order to Support Counter WMD Efforts

Parsons (NYSE: PSN) has won a potential five-year, $53 million task order to help the Defense Threat Reduction Agency build and enhance partner nation capacity to counter and deter weapons of mass destruction and emerging threats.

The company said Monday it will provide training, equipment and subsequent maintenance in support of DTRA’s International Counterproliferation Program and Proliferation Security Initiative.

ICP aims to boost the ability of partner nations to prevent and counter the proliferation of WMD and
related materials and technologies across international borders.

PSI is a global effort to combat WMD trafficking to and from proliferator states and non-state actors.

“This award provides us the opportunity to expand our role in advancing DTRA’s mission to prevent, reduce, and counter WMD and emerging threats to global security,” said Jon Moretta, president of engineered systems at Parsons.

The task order was awarded under the $850 million Assessment, Exercise, Modeling and Simulation, and Support indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract announced in July 2022.
