Honeywell Awarded $111M to Provide Hardware for Army Tank Engine Overhaul

Honeywell (NYSE: HON) has received a potential $110.9M contract modification to provide hardware required to overhaul engines that power the U.S. Army's Abrams tanks. Services under the contract are intended to address Advanced Gas Turbine 1500 production requirements at Anniston Army Depot and support field repair efforts under the Total Integrated Engine Revitalization program, the Department of Defense said Thursday.

Advanced Technology International to Help Run Navy Manufacturing Tech Center Under $99M Contract

Advanced Technology International has won a five-year, $99M contract to help the U.S. Navy manage a center of excellence that was built to develop and transition naval manufacturing technologies to the private sector. ATI will support the Navy Manufacturing Technology Center for Innovative Naval Shipbuilding and Advanced Manufacturing under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.

NNSA Taps Cray for $600M Supercomputer Project at Lawrence Livermore Nat’l Lab

Cray has secured a potential $600M contract from the Department of Energy's National Nuclear Security Administration to build and deliver a supercomputing platform to Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California by late 2022. DOE said Tuesday researchers will use the "El Capitan" exascale computer to study methods for nuclear weapons stockpile maintenance, as well as conduct data-heavy simulations and calculations.
