Lt. Gen. Shawn Bratton serves as the Deputy Director for Operations at the United States Space Force. He provides administration, technology, analysis, and finance expertise.

 

One of Shawn’s notable contributions is providing operations training to the Guardians. This project helped the Guardians become more familiar with new space capabilities through the STARCOM simulator.

Lt. Gen. Shawn Bratton’s Career and Leadership Journey

 

Lt. Gen. Shawn Bratton held various staff and operational roles.

 

Mr. Bratton enlisted in the Arizona Air National Guard’s 107th Air Control Squadron before being commissioned into service. One of his early leadership assignments includes his deployment for Operation Iraqi Freedom as the U.S. Northern Command Director of Space Forces.

 

In 2021, he led the Space Training and Readiness Command as its first commander. In July 2023, he became the Special Assistant to the Vice Chief of Space Operations. Finally, in December 2023, he was assigned to his current position as the Space Force’s Deputy Director for Operations.
