Maj. Gen. Scott A. Cain currently serves as the Air Force Research Lab (AFRL) Commander. Placed in this position in June 2023, Scott oversees the $3 billion technological and scientific organization that promotes Airmen and Guardians solution research and development.

 

Mr. Cain accelerates the supply of cross-domain solutions by forming relationships with businesses, universities, and foreign allies. He is charged with developing a thorough portfolio of technologies that will meet the future demands of the military.

 

Moreover, Maj. Gen. Scott A. Cain leads innovation and problem-solving among the government workforce. His team builds a solid technological and clinical bench, promotes technology, and advances research for functional directorates, such as AFWERX and the 711th Human Performance Wing.
