Peraton has won a potential $2.69 billion single-award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to help the Department of Homeland Security manage a hybrid computing environment consisting of a data center, colocation facilities and cloud services.
DHS offered details of the Data Center and Cloud Optimization contract in the Federal Procurement Data System and officially issued the DCCO IDIQ award to Perspecta, which Veritas Capital acquired in May and integrated into the private equity firm’s portfolio company Peraton.
A performance work statement for the program stated that DHS would also procure professional services for its HCE automation and modernization efforts through the contract.
The overall environment will cover unclassified and classified information technology systems, data and applications and data, according to the PWS document released in February.
DHS expects the winning contractor to implement data center-based hosting and infrastructure-as-a-service platforms from government-approved providers.
