DLH Holdings has named Brooke Pierce president of its health business group, effective Sept. 14. The Atlanta-based company announced the appointment on Monday.
Commenting on Pierce’s appointment, DLH President and CEO Kathryn JohnBull said, “Brooke’s experience building high-performing health and technology organizations that deliver operational excellence to customers, profitable growth, and organizational development at scale will be invaluable as we advance DLH’s health strategy.”
The appointment comes as federal health agencies prepare for FY27 priorities involving AI, digital tools and healthcare technology. Who Is Brooke Pierce?
Pierce is a former Leidos executive with nearly two decades of experience leading federal programs and global operations. Before joining DLH, she served as vice president of the defense enterprise and cyber operations division manager at Leidos, where she supported artificial intelligence-driven modernization initiatives and oversaw the delivery of cloud and cybersecurity services.
Previously, Pierce led Leidos’ Marine Corps and international portfolio. She also served as deputy program executive for the Department of the Navy’s Next Generation Enterprise Network Service Management, Integration and Transport program, supporting more than 4,500 personnel at more than 1,500 locations.
Earlier in her tenure at Leidos, Pierce led efforts to recover high-risk federal programs, including a $1 billion infrastructure and hosting contract. She also helped establish Leidos’ Independent Program Assessment framework for evaluating program health and informing executive decision-making.
Prior to Leidos, Pierce held leadership roles at Cotiviti, ARDX and FEI Systems, where she oversaw government services operations, program delivery and business development for federal health portfolios. Her earlier career included program management roles at Northrop Grumman, CORMAC and other organizations focused on health IT and technology.
What Will Pierce Oversee?
As head of DLH’s health business group, Pierce will drive growth and strategic direction spanning technology, scientific research, AI, data analytics and mission-support services for the company’s federal health customers. She will also oversee day-to-day execution, manage customer relationships and build up staff.
Pierce’s responsibilities align with DLH’s focus on health IT strategy and digital transformation. The company named Jess Berrellez vice president of health IT strategy and operations in November 2025 to support those areas, including data strategies and AI adoption.
