Linda Miller, formerly assistant director of forensic audits and investigative service at the Government Accountability Office, has been named a director at Grant Thornton‘s public sector fraud risk assessment practice.
She will work with government clients that aim to assess the risk of fraud in their organizations and identify strategies to reduce fraud risk, Grant Thornton said Wednesday.
She has managed a team of GAO professionals that investigate fraud, waste and abuse in federal programs over the past 10 years and led the development of a governmentwide fraud risk management framework.
Lindas GAO experience and thorough understanding of strategies for preventing, detecting and responding to fraud will be a tremendous asset to our government clients, ” said Carlos Otal, national managing partner of Grant Thorntons public sector business.
She has also worked at George Washington Universitys Trachtenberg School of Public Policy and Public Administration as an adjunct professor since 2013.
