GDIT President Amy Gilliland Accepts 8th Wash100 Award

Amy Gilliland, president of General Dynamics Information Technology, has accepted her 2025 Wash100 Award from Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson, marking her eighth consecutive recognition as one of the most influential leaders in the government contracting sector.

Gilliland’s latest Wash100 win honors her exceptional leadership and strategic vision in driving GDIT’s growth through major contract wins, organizational expansion and innovation across federal missions.

“Amy earning her eighth Wash100 recognition comes as no surprise—she continues to be a powerhouse in the GovCon industry. GDIT has had a banner year under her leadership, landing major contracts with the Air Force, Army and CMS while strengthening its position as a go-to federal partner,” said Garrettson, founder of the Wash100 Award.

Driving Growth Through Strategic Contract Wins

In 2024, GDIT secured several high-profile government contracts, including a 14-year, $1.8 billion deal with Customs and Border Protection to modernize surveillance tower systems, a $922 million award from U.S. Central Command for IT infrastructure modernization and a place in the Air Force’s $12.5 billion base area network modernization effort.

In September, GDIT secured a $299 million contract from the Defense Information Systems Agency for network infrastructure support, followed by a $286 million award in October from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to continue operational support for the Benefits Coordination and Recovery Center.

GDIT landed two major deals in November, including a potential 10-year, $5.57 billion Air Force contract for mission partner field support and a share in the $33.16 billion Department of Defense’s research and development services-focused Information Analysis Center award.

Expanding GDIT’s Federal Health Footprint

GDIT deepened its commitment to federal healthcare by launching a dedicated federal health division, led by Kamal Narang, senior vice president for federal health. The unit delivers consulting, technology and mission services to various agencies and federal health organizations.

Advancing Innovation & Workforce Well-Being

Gilliland led GDIT’s acquisition of Iron EagleX to boost artificial intelligence and cyber capabilities for defense and intelligence missions. She also advanced workforce initiatives through partnerships with the National Alliance on Mental Illness and George Mason University, reinforcing GDIT’s commitment to innovation, wellness and talent development.

Congratulations to Amy Gilliland on her latest Wash100 Award!
