Borchert added the acquisition of UCS will enable Federal Advisory Partners to further advance innovation and support federal clients in accelerating modernization to achieve mission readiness and improve efficiency.
Established in 2000, UCS provides enterprise information technology and health care services to the Department of Defense and federal civilian agencies. The company’s capabilities include systems engineering, information assurance, application development, security compliance and advisory services.
UCS CEO Abhijit Dhumne said the transaction broadens the company’s talent pool and IT capabilities in support of customers’ goals and missions.
Baker Tilly US and Pillsbury Winthrop Shaw Pittman served as financial adviser and legal counsel, respectively, to UCS. Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison and Morrison & Foerster advised Federal Advisory Partners on the transaction’s legal aspect.
The deal marks the second acquisition for Federal Advisory Partners, which acquired Favor TechConsulting in January.
