The Department of State has released a sources sought notice for a potential follow-on to the Diplomatic Platform Support Services, or DiPSS, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract.
What Is the Purpose of the Notice?
According to the notice published Thursday on SAM.gov, the State Department’s global acquisitions office is soliciting input to gauge industry interest and determine the feasibility of various acquisition approaches for the planned DiPSS II multiple-award contract. Responses will be used to assess market interest, technical capability and feasibility.
What Services Will DiPSS II Cover?
The contract is expected to support a broad range of functions, including program management, construction, logistics, life support, medical and emergency operations, maintenance, and security services. These activities will support State Department missions and other U.S. government entities operating under the chief of mission authority.
What Are the Contract Details?
The Bureau of Global Acquisitions anticipates awarding a five-year time-and-materials IDIQ valued at $1 million. Work is expected to be conducted in the Middle East and South Central Asia contingency environments. The State Department encourages participation from teaming arrangements and joint ventures, including small businesses. Responses are due by April 16.
Original DiPSS Contract
The State Department awarded the original DiPSS IDIQ contract in June 2019. During that initial phase, 11 companies secured positions on the five-year, $6 billion contract vehicle to provide diplomatic platform support services.
