Titania Seeks to Help Vendors Accelerate CMMC Compliance Assessment With Nipper Module

Titania has introduced a new tool designed to help companies automate the assessment of their network security practices in compliance with the Department of Defense’s Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification program.

The new module is part of the company’s Nipper software that looks for vulnerabilities in firewalls, routers and switches and offers technical fixes to help remediate misconfigurations, Titania said Tuesday.

The Titania Nipper module could help defense contractors automate the audit process, assess CMMC compliance within minutes and speed up the cyber risk remediation process.

“We’ve developed this new module to help businesses of all sizes quickly and cost-effectively fulfill the requirement by assessing compliance, generating evidence, and providing insight into what vulnerabilities need fixing so that suppliers can both stay compliant and prioritize the remediation of any critical issues first,” said Matt Malarkey, vice president of strategic alliances for Titania North America.

Titania said the new tool can automate assessment of about 75 percent of core network device-related security practices and can provide evidence for manual assessment of the remaining security practices.
