R.R. Donnelley & Sons (NYSE: RRD) has won a potential $114.5M contract from the Government Publishing Office to produce printing materials and provide mailing services for Census Bureau‘s population survey in 2020.
The company will manufacture envelopes, letters, inserts, postscards and questionnaires designed to help people respond to the next decennial count, GPO said Tuesday.
In a separate announcement, RRD said it plans to invest in equipment this year to support the Census project and aims to deliver most of the products next year.
RRD will leverage data, print, operational and logistics platforms to help the bureau deliver more than 600M documents to more than 130M households nationwide.
GPO’s print procurement program offers an opportunity for private companies to do business with federal agencies.
