Robert Swan
Robert Bob Swan, chief financial officer at Intel (Nasdaq: INTC), has been appointed by the companys board as interim CEO in a move that takes effect immediately.
Intel said Thursday Swan succeeds Brian Krzanich, who resigned after five years at the helm, and will oversee its operations in partnership with the senior leadership team as the board works with an executive search firm to look for a permanent CEO.
Swan has been leading Intels global finance, corporate strategy and information technology organizations since October 2016 as an executive vice president and CFO.
Prior to Intel, he served as an operating partner at equity investment firm General Atlantic and held the CFO role at eBay (Nasdaq: EBAY), Electronic Data Systems, TRW and Webvan Group.
He spent 15 years at General Electric (NYSE: GE), where he served in senior finance positions.
