Rob Dao, a more than two-decade industry veteran, was appointed vice president of U.S. federal at Austin, Texas-headquartered cybersecurity technology company CrowdStrike (Nasdaq: CRWD), according to his LinkedIn announcement.
Dao previously held the same post at vArmour and then at Tanium. Prior to those stints, he served as regional vice president of sales for federal and defense customers at the information technology services and IT consulting company.
The executive’s career also includes time working as an account executive for U.S. Air Force programs at McAfee, federal account executive for Department of Defense and intelligence community at Endgame, software client leader for National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency and IC at IBM (NYSE: IBM) and security operations center manager at Secureworks.
Before joining the industry, Dao was a commissioned officer and special agent within the Office of Special Investigations at the Department of the Air Force.
