The U.S. Air Force’s 774th Enterprise Sourcing Squadron has indicated its intent to award a $20 billion modification to a multiple-award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract vehicle that supports research and development initiatives across the Department of Defense.
In a special notice posted Thursday, AFICC ESS said the possible ceiling increase will cover the current and remaining option periods of the nine-year, $28 billion DOD Information Analysis Center contract vehicle to continue industry’s R&D services from 2023 through 2027.
The ceiling increase will not change the contract scope, which encompasses 22 technical focus areas including cybersecurity, software data and analysis, autonomous systems, biometrics, homeland security, weapons systems and advanced materials.
DOD is looking to launch a competitive acquisition for the follow-on IAC MAC before the start of fiscal year 2028, the notice on SAM.gov states.
