Five companies have won spots on a potential seven-year, $400 million contract vehicle to build and engineer integrated systems for the U.S. Navy.
The Department of Defense said Friday contractors will provide support services or equipment to support the branch’s air traffic control functions, meteorology and oceanography programs and aviation command, control, communications, computers, combat systems, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance operations.
The multiple award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract has a five-year ordering period, valued at $279.8 million, and will reach its ceiling value if the Navy exercises all options.
DOD noted that each awardee will initially receive $5,000.
Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic conducted a full and open competition for the contract and received five offers in the solicitation process.
