Five companies have won spots on a potential five-year, $495M contract from the U.S. Navy to support airfield paving projects at various government installations located in six states.
Contractors will bid for task orders to build, renovate or repair airfield pavements across California, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Colorado and New Mexico, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
Naval Facilities Engineering Command-Southwest received nine proposals for multiple-award indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract via the Navy’s Electronic Commerce Online portal.

Granite Construction received a $10.1M initial task order to build F-35 vertical landing pads and a taxiway at Marine Corps Air Station Miramar in California. The project is expected to be completed by September 2020.
