Jeff Robertson, formerly president and managing partner of Ten Eight Solutions, has been appointed to succeed Bob Freinberg as president and CEO of the communications business within Airbus‘ defense and space segment.
The company said Tuesday Robertson will oversee Airbus DS Communications‘ strategic initiatives and further its commitment to develop public safety platforms in his new position.
Freinberg has led Airbus DS Communications over the past six years and will serve as a consultant to help facilitate a seamless transition of the unit’s business activities.
Robertson previously served as CEO at public safety software provider Emergency Technologies and at 9-1-1 technology companies Tel Control and CML Emergency Services.
The 20-year industry veteran also held the roles of managing partner at Robertson and Asso; vice president and general manager at Intergraph; executive director of the 9-1-1 Industry Alliance; and VP and GM at Comcast Cable.
