He will lead efforts to grow the company’s DHS footprint and support organic growth initiatives in his new position, Leidos said Friday.
Prior to this appointment, LaJoye was executive assistant administrator in TSA’s security operations office for more than four years and managed programs aimed to protect the global critical infrastructure sector.
LaJoye joined the agency in 2000 and held various senior management roles during his first 12 years of service there. He later received promotions to federal security director and assistant administrator focused on the security function.
“Darby developed and implemented the TSA’s Outcome Focused Security model and is considered a leading voice in the convergence of cyber and physical security,” said Debbie Opiekun, chief business development officer at Leidos.
Before he joined the federal government, LaJoyce served in the U.S. Army at various airborne and light infantry units.
