Peter Leav
Peter Leav, formerly president and CEO of communications technology provider Polycom, has been appointed to succeed Bob Beauchamp as president and CEO of BMC Software.
Beauchamp, a 28-year company veteran, will continue to serve as chairman of BMCs board of directors, BMC Software said Monday.
Leav brings to the Houston-based software company more than two decades of management, operations and sales in services and technology experience.
He spent three years at communications and collaboration tools developer Polycom that investment firm Siris Capitalacquired for approximately $2 billion cash in September.
Prior to Polycom, he served as president of industry and global field operations at NCR Corp. and corporate vice president and general manager of enterprise business at Motorola.
Leav held senior sales executive roles at Cisco Systems, Symbol Technologies and Tektronix and currently sits on the board of directors at HD Supply.
