The Defense Intelligence Agency has asked interested stakeholders to submit white papers on several research topic areas to help develop new measurement and signature intelligence capabilities.
A broad agency announcement posted Friday says the MASINT Research and Development Initiative seeks proposals that could help improve the technical collection, processing and analysis of data on directed energy weapons, missile, aerospace and other space-based objects.
The BAA also requests proposals that seek to improve the processing, exploitation and dissemination of MASINT data and submissions that could help enhance the ability to acquire and analyze data to counter weapons of mass destruction.
MASINT RDI has two evaluation rounds. The first round involves the request and collection of white papers. The agency will assess and select approximately 30 submissions that will advance to the second round of evaluation.
Interested offerors should have employees with appropriate security clearances who can handle classified data and have a government transition partner and a funding partner within the government or intelligence community prior to submitting a proposal for the second round.
White papers for first round of evaluation are due Dec. 8.
