David Rowland, a 35-year Accenture (NYSE: ACN) veteran, has been appointed to serve as CEO of the global professional services contractor on an interim basis.
He succeeds Pierre Nanterme, who resigned the post due to health issues and intends to support his successor in an advisory role, the company said Friday.
Rowland became CFO in July 2013 after he previously served as senior vice president of finance and chair of Accenture’s Operations Council.
