CGI (NYSE: GIB) has agreed to acquire Reston, Va.-based information technology and management consulting firm TeraThink for an undisclosed sum as part of efforts to expand its enterprise application services for federal government clients.
The transaction is expected to be finalized by the end of March and will allow CGI Federal to build up its consulting capabilities and incorporate TeraThink’s data analytics, application development and agile enablement capabilities into its IT offerings portfolio, CGI said Wednesday.
“TeraThink and its approximately 250 professionals have made significant contributions for their federal government clients,” said George Schindler, CGI president and CEO and a previous Wash100 award recipient. “Through combined portfolios, we strengthen our capabilities and broaden our offerings to meet the growing digitization needs of federal agencies.”
Tim Hurlebaus, president of CGI Federal and a 2020 Wash100 award winner, said the two companies share a culture of delivering services, maintaining client satisfaction and meeting the changing needs in partnership with consumers.
