Bradley Hansell, an associate director of Boston Consulting Group, is set to receive a presidential nomination to be deputy undersecretary for intelligence and secretary at the Department of Defense.
Hansell helps spearhead BCG's North American public sector practice and previously was a National Security Council senior director focused on addressing transnational threats, the White House said Friday.
His military career started in the U.S. Navy as a surface warfare officer and concluded in the U.S. Army as a special forces officer.
He is a recipient of the Meritorious Service, Bronze Star and Purple Heart medals.
Hansell earned his MBA degree from University of Virginia's Darden Business School as part of the Pat Tillman military scholarship program.
