What Does Sikorsky’s Black Hawk Contract Cover?
The award covers the delivery of nine UH-60M and 15 HH-60M helicopters, along with related program management support, the Department of War said Friday. The contract, effective July 2026 through December 2027, now totals $4.7 billion in value.
Sikorsky will perform the work in Stratford, Connecticut, and is expected to complete the project by Dec. 31, 2027. The Army Contracting Command in Redstone Arsenal, Alabama, will allocate $433.2 million from the Army’s fiscal 2026 aircraft procurement funds at the time of the award.
What Contracts Has the Army Awarded Sikorsky Before?
In January 2023, the Army awarded Sikorsky a $656.8 million contract modification for the procurement of 40 UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters, under a foreign military sale to Australia. The deal is expected to be completed in June 2027. In June 2022, the company also received a five-year, $4.4 billion contract to deliver 255 H-60M Black Hawk helicopters to the Army and international military customers.
