Steven Anderson, a retired U.S. Army brigadier general and former chief growth officer of Sallyport Global, has been named vice president of logistics services at SOS Internationals mission solutions group.
The 31-year Army veteran will be responsible for helping grow SOSi’s global logistics programs for the departments of Defense and State and other government customers, the company said Wednesday.
Frank Helmick, senior vice president of SOSi’s mission solutions group, said Anderson also brings project management and business development experience to the Reston, Va.-based government services contractor.
Anderson previously worked at Fluor as its Afghanistan country manager with responsibility over logistics support to U.S. and NATO forces on 11 operating bases across the Middle Eastern country.
He led Army Logistics Operations and Readiness at the Pentagon before retiring in April 2010.
