The U.S. Navy has awarded 17 companies positions on a potential five-year, $750 million contract to provide a wide range of support services for the military branch’s operations in U.S. states and Puerto Rico.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract carries a one-year base value of $50 million and work could extend through December 2021 if the Navy exercises all four one-year options, the Defense Departmentsaid Thursday.
DoD said task orders will include administrative and clerical, quarters management, healthcare, information and arts, information technology, maritime material handling, mechanics and maintenance and repair, plant and system operation, engineering and technical support, mobile equipment operation, financial management, specialized technology and industrial and general services.
The Navy received 112 offers for the multiple-award contract and will obligate a total of $33, 000 at the time of award from its fiscal 2017 operations and maintenance funds.
